The Trees

It's fall. All the leaves are yellow, brown, red with small left over tints of green in them. I look up at the tree I was sitting under and watched as all the leaves fell. I heard crunching of the leaves coming from behind me and I broke out into a huge smile because I knew exactly who it was. I felt too small hands cover my eyes. "Guess who" She sung out. I grabbed her and let her fall into my lap. "Hey babe" I'm smiling like a fool at this point. "Autumn." I said just because I love the sound of her name. "Yes?"

"Oh, nothing I just love your name..." I trailed off as I suddenly remembered the necklace I got her thats in my left pocket in the back of my black ripped skinny jeans. "I got you something..." I grabbed the necklace out and held it up for her to see. It has two pair leaves on it. Matching the color of the leaves on the ground all around us. She grabbed all her hair into a messy ponytail as I placed the necklace around her neck. "There... perfect." She looked at me with her piercing bright hazel eyes and smiles. She leaned into me placed a soft kiss on my lips.

This is the beginning of our forever.
